The biggest problem regarding rape is that people fail to realize that it has got little to do with want of sexual pleasure/attraction but is more of an act of violence to feed the rapist's frustration or ego.
A rapist will rape no matter what clothes you wear (even if you wear a burqa) or how you look like or even how old you are. Most of these rapists are nothing but perverts… and for them this act of violence is their fetish.
Though there are some rapists who do this act out of sheer frustration, but there are none who rape just out of sexual attraction; because once an individual is capable of thinking of harming someone there is isn't any kind of attraction...
This case has been portrayed very well in Ramayana:
There's this incident where Ravana violently rapes an apsara named Punjikasthala… but this act was completely unnecessary if at all Ravana wanted to have was sexual pleasure, because apsaras were very liberal in terms of sex and would generally agree an invitation from an individual as handsome as Ravana.
This story shows that it was basically an act of violence by Ravana and not some sexual conquest to fulfill his desire but to satisfy his frustration or his ego(had the apsara rejected his approach).
Even in the case of Vedavati… She was an ascetic dressed in untidy clothing wearing deer skin and barkcloth like any other sage... this also shows that rape has got little to do with looking sexually attractive.
In a real-life incident recently in September this year a 73 year-old woman was raped in Central Park, New-York in broad daylight!! Does this incident not show that rape has got little to do with “modest” clothing?
Let's be honest… are there not women who are raped or sexually assaulted by these vicious demons even when they dress "modestly"?? Are there not cases of little children(sometimes even babies) being sexually abused or raped??...
People fail to realize that rapists and pedophiles are nothing but sick psychopaths and they perform such awful acts only to satisfy their frustration and perverted minds.
I can understand cases of eve teasing or people calling names or giving "looks" when an individual dresses in a fashion that is not considered "normal" or "modest"..
But rape is something which is completely different...
Personally I feel rapists shouldn't be hanged, because I feel it's too "quick"... but should be castrated without anesthesia instead so they can understand the pain a rape victim feels…
I hope we evolve into more mature creatures and give a smashing blow to evil in its face!!
